4 REASONS TO VISIT HAWAII IN THE FALL

Thinking about taking a trip this fall? Don’t put away your summer outfits and flip flops just yet! Hawaii is the perfect place for a fall getaway to experience all the wonderful things the Island has to offer at a lower price and with less crowds. Here’s four reasons why you should visit Hawaii this fall.

PERFECT WEATHER

For many places on the mainland, fall and winter bring along a bit of seasonal depression with the cooler weather and shorter days. A trip to Hawaii might be just what you need to fill your Vitamin D levels!

Hawaii is a great place to visit year-round. The weather is comfortable 365 days a year. That being said, September through November is actually one of the best times to visit the Island and experience the perfect weather. Fall temperatures in Hawaii range between 70 and 80 degrees. While you might not see any fall foliage, you probably won’t mind as you sun bathe on the beach with the palm trees!

FEWER PEOPLE

If you’re tired of packed beaches or lines at your favorite coffee shop, it might be time to plan your escape to Hawaii! While most people go back to school and work after the summer months, Hawaii activity slows down from it’s heavy tourist months. The beaches and downtown are significantly quieter in the fall months, making it a great time to experience the Island.

If you want to check out some of the most popular tourist destinations, like scenic overlooks, the fall is a great time. With fewer people to impede your views, you can actually enjoy the scenery in peace. Who wouldn’t trade hustle and bustle for waterfall sounds?!

TRAVEL PRICES

If you’re a budget-friendly traveler (who doesn’t love a deal!?), another great reason to head to Hawaii in the fall is for the low travel prices. Airlines and hotels are significantly more expensive in the summer months and around the holidays because they know people are planning to come to the Island.

If you do some research and book in advance, there’s a good chance you’ll find cheaper travel accommodations in the fall months. September and October are a smart time to book a hotel because the Island sees a drop off in summer guests, and they’re looking for the business to the benefit of fall travelers (That’s you!)

ISLAND EVENTS

Since you saved all that money on lodging and travel, why not spend some of those savings on great Hawaiian events!

Fall is the perfect time to check out the Island with tons of fun island activities!

If you’re a coffee lover, be sure to plan your visit around the Kona Coffee Festival in early November. It’s a fun-filled 4-day event that provides an authentic experience of Hawaiian coffee heritage and is the oldest food festival in Hawaii. Come celebrate with us!

If you’re planning a visit, be sure to check out the Big Island event calendar for some ideas!
